At The Wonky Bee, every jar of honey begins in the hive. Our bees gather nectar from the flowers and trees surrounding our apiary, creating a honey that reflects the natural landscape and seasons of the region. The result is a rich, flavorful honey that is completely raw and unfiltered, just as the bees intended.

Each batch is harvested with care and processed using a traditional extraction method. Frames of honeycomb are placed into a honey extractor where the honey is gently spun from the comb. The honey then drains into food-grade containers and passes through a fine sieve to remove small pieces of wax or debris while preserving the natural character of the honey.

From there, every bottle is hand-filled, capped, and induction sealed to preserve freshness. Each jar is then hand-labeled, completing a process that ensures the bees’ hard work stays protected until the moment it is opened and enjoyed.

Because our honey is raw and minimally processed, it retains its natural flavor, aroma, and color. These qualities may vary slightly from batch to batch depending on the flowers the bees visited during the season.

Natural Crystallization

Raw honey may naturally crystallize over time. This is a normal process and does not affect the quality or safety of the honey.

If crystallization occurs, simply place the jar in warm water and gently heat until the honey returns to liquid form.
