This Refund & Return Policy governs all purchases made through The Wonky Bee website (“Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below. This policy applies to customers located in the United States only.


1. General Policy

  • All sales are subject to product-specific return and refund eligibility as outlined below.
  • We reserve the right to refuse returns or refunds that do not comply with this policy.

2. Honey and Consumable Products

Due to the consumable nature of honey and other edible products:

  • All honey and consumable product sales are final.
  • We do not accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds for these items.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Include photos of the product and packaging for review.
  • At our discretion, we may offer a replacement or refund for items confirmed to be damaged or incorrect.

3. Live Bees, Nucs, Queens, and Hives

Live Delivery Guarantee

  • Live bees, including nucs, queens, and other live colonies, are guaranteed live upon delivery or pickup only.
  • Any issues must be reported immediately upon receipt (same day) with clear photo or video evidence.

After Delivery

  • Once bees are accepted by the customer or carrier, all responsibility transfers to the customer.
  • Due to the biological nature of honey bees and environmental factors beyond our control, we do not offer refunds, returns, or replacements after delivery.

No Returns

  • Live bees, nucs, queens, and hives cannot be returned under any circumstances.

Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for proper installation, feeding, management, and care immediately upon receipt.
  • Failure to properly receive or care for bees, including delays in pickup or installation, voids any live delivery consideration.

Shipping and Handling

  • We are not responsible for losses due to shipping delays, weather conditions, carrier handling, or circumstances outside of our control once bees are transferred to the carrier.

4. Bee Products (Non-Consumable Items)

This includes items such as hive equipment, tools, and non-consumable goods.

Returns

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be:
    • Unused
    • In original condition
    • In original packaging

Non-Returnable Items

  • Used, damaged, or altered items are not eligible for return.
  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling are not eligible for refund.

Refunds

  • Once a return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection.
  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was incorrect or defective.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

5. Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

  • You must report any damaged, incorrect, or missing items within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Claims must include photos and order details.
  • We reserve the right to determine eligibility for replacement or refund.

6. Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled only if they have not yet been processed or shipped.
  • Live bee orders may have limited cancellation windows due to scheduling and availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not responsible for losses resulting from improper use, handling, or storage of products after delivery.
  • Refunds or replacements are issued at our discretion in accordance with this policy.
